a) Written Communication

I've had experience with using written communication skills. Last year, (in 2017) I wrote a 9-page script. The script covered multiple scenes in a short tv series. I learnt and used the correct format to write the script. I feel like my script was up to high quality. Overall I got a Distinction* for my script writing unit. The script was written correctly and could be turned into a TV show or short film. Here is an example of my script:

b) Verbal Communication

Last year (2017) I made a podcast. I reviewed a music band called Everything Everything. I had an introduction, I used vox pops and had musical transitions in the podcast. I also had a guest that I interviewed throughout the podcast. I used a lot of features of popular high-quality podcasts. However, the podcast was a bit too long, and I could've made more transitions. I'm also slightly anxious, s being the main presenter on production was quite difficult. it's hopefully something I can get used to. Here are some pictures of my podcast in production and me recording it:

c) Practical Production

I've done quite a bit of practical production. The main one I felt I was good at was filming out with a proper camera crew. We filmed to make a drone film. It's a short film with one main character and a visual effect drone. We planned out the film with storyboards and made sure everyone was comfortable with their role. However, we were meant to have 5 crew members but were only left with 4. However, we managed to work through it. I ended up being the cameraman, but also covered the job as a sort of co-director. I filmed while also talking to our director about how it should be done. I listened to everyone's input and considered their options. However, I think I have a tendency to think of an idea and stick with it and sometimes shut other people's ideas out. I feel I could improve by communicated more, and by allowing people to communicate with me. I also sometimes wasn't in to do the work, which is where I let my team a bit. So I want to strive to be a much better teammate and an easier person to work with because that's what I would ask of others. Here are some shots and planning form the film:

d) Creativity

In one of my unit's in my media course, we had to design a video game. When I went into planning it, I feel like my head was brimming with ideas. I immediately thought of several locations. I ended up choosing a space game, and I started to make model spaceships in photoshop and other props that I could use in the game. I was excited to see what I could add to the game. My problem is however that I can think of lots of different ideas, but they rarely connect, or I can bring the ideas to life. This is hopefully I can work on the more I work on projects and make things. Here's an image of some of my planning for my video game:
